Where is my board data stored?
By default, board content is stored in your browser's local IndexedDB. Free and Personal do not upload board files to Boarderless servers. Content leaves the device only when you deliberately export or share it, or connect and use an optional Ai provider. Pro users can separately connect Google Drive for board sync across devices.
Does Boarderless host my synced files?
No. We respect user control and privacy. Synced boards are stored directly in your own Google Drive in a dedicated My Drive > Boarderless folder under a narrow app-specific scope. Boarderless can access only the files it creates through the app, and we do not store canvas content on our servers.
Can I cancel my plan at any time?
Yes. You can open Account & Billing from your Profile menu to update payment details, view invoices, change plans, or cancel. When a paid tier expires, locally stored boards remain in that browser.
What happens if I exceed my Free caps?
If you reach the 1-active-board, 5-archive, or 8-object Free limits, you can keep editing existing work. You will be blocked only from creating more until you delete objects, archive responsibly, or choose a paid plan.
