Where is my board data stored?
By default, all your boards are cached completely inside your browser's local IndexedDB. If you are on the Free or Personal plans, your data never leaves your device. Pro users can link their own Google Drive to back up and sync boards across devices.
Does Boarderless host my synced files?
No. We respect user sovereignty and privacy. Synced boards are stored directly in your own Google Drive in a dedicated My Drive > Boarderless folder under a narrow app-specific scope. We do not have access to your other Drive files, nor do we store canvas content on our servers.
Can I cancel my plan at any time?
Absolutely. You can manage, pause, or cancel your subscription directly from your Profile dropdown under the billing options. When a paid tier expires, your boards remain safely cached in your local browser.
What happens if I exceed my Free caps?
If you reach the 1-active-board, 5-archive, or 8-object Free limits, you can keep editing existing work. You will be blocked only from creating more until you delete objects, archive responsibly, or choose a paid plan.
